Jeff Stanek

Jeff Stanek teaches and plays piano extensively in the Madison area. As a classical and improvisatory pianist, he works regularly with dancers in the UW Dance Department and at Monona Academy of Dance, accompanying students at the UW School of Music, and as a church musician at Lakeview Moravian Church, in addition to doing occasional solo performances and appearing on programs like the Token Creek Chamber Music Festival and Present Music. He is a graduate of UW-Madison (MM, Piano Pedagogy and Performance) and Indiana University (BM, Music Composition), and a past music theory TA at both schools, as well as a past fellow of The MacDowell Colony, Tanglewood Music Center, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts.
