Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras Season
WYSO is excited to announce that the 2021 Fall Season will begin on September 11 for all Orchestras and the Percussion Ensemble.
Music Makers students will begin Group Classes on September 25.
All musicians will carefully follow PHMDC guidelines.

The November 6 Art of Note Gala will be an all-virtual event, complete with a silent auction full of wonderful items and student performances.
All proceeds have a direct impact on members and ensure that transformative musical experiences continue, expand and remain affordable.

WYSO Music Makers seeks Violin Instructors for hire to join our dynamic and growing musical community. General responsibilities include teaching and preparing students in private lessons and /or group instruction.
This is an independent contractor, 1099 opportunity.

IMAGINE a new home for WYSO with room for all of WYSO’s current programs under a single roof, with state- of-the-art rehearsal spaces for orchestras and ensembles of all sizes, studio teaching spaces, admin offices, and a music library. With a location in a vibrant section of downtown Madison, WYSO can become a part of a growing youth arts community and a key collaborator to foster creativity and community events.
WYSO was established in 1966 by Professor Marvin Rabin of the University of Wisconsin-Extension. More than 5,000 young musicians from communities throughout southern Wisconsin have participated in WYSO during its 50+ years of existence. Under the artistic direction of Kyle Knox, WYSO includes orchestras, chamber groups, ensemble programs, and the WYSO Music Makers program.
