Eugenie Mayer Bolz Family Concerts: Philharmonia Orchestra

You are invited to attend the 2022 Bolz Family Concert Series: Philharmonia Orchestra concert. The concert will be a wonderful end-of-year event, taking place in the beautiful Hamel Music Center. The WYSO Philharmonia Orchestra will perform all of their pieces in a special side-by-side concert with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. 

  • Overture to Russlan and Ludmilla by Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka, conducted by Maestro Andrew Sewell.
  • Three dances from the opera The Bartered Bride (I. Polka, II. Furiant, and III. Dance of the Comedians) by Bedřich Smetana, arr. by Hugo Riesenfeld, conducted by Maestro Andrew Sewell. 
  • Symphony No. 5, Op. 67 (IV. Allegro) by Ludwig van Beethoven, conducted by Maestro Andrew Sewell.

The fourth piece in this evening of fantastic music will be the Concerto No.1 in A minor, op. 33 by Camille Saint-Saëns, conducted by Maestra Michelle Kaebisch. The featured cellist will be Katarina Kenney, who won the WYSO Philharmonia Orchestra Concerto Competition in February.Read more about Katarina Kenney here.

The event is open to the public and tickets are now on sale at Campus Arts Ticketing $10 for children and $20 for adults.
 
COVID Protocol: The audience is required to wear masks. No vaccination cards or tests required.
