Ms.Greene, violinist, has enjoyed a long and varied career as performer, teacher, composer, arranger. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, majoring in violin and organ, with extensive graduate work at UW-Madison and IU Bloomington in violin pedagogy and public school orchestra. Greene has a long history of writing and arranging materials for private studio, strings festivals, and middle and high school orchestras. She is currently publishing materials to be used to supplement method books, allowing all instruments to focus on melodies as well as ensemble parts. She has been recognized for her many years of public school teaching in urban settings, her work with disadvantaged students, and her use of musically and culturally diverse repertoire. For 20 years she was active in the Milwaukee (WI) area as a free-lance violinist and teacher, in both private and public schools. She founded and directed a community orchestra for young people. Maintaining a lifetime interest in various musical styles, she has written music for young string players and student orchestras, using classical, world-folk, and jazz idioms. Greene maintains a private studio for violin, viola, and piano in Madison (WI).

In 2006 Greene founded a non-profit to make quality music study available to children whose families cannot support the cost of lessons.
