Anthony DeMartinis is a solo and collaborative percussionist and educator based in Madison, Wisconsin. He has performed in a variety of settings including with orchestras and wind ensembles, rock bands, steel pan ensembles, jazz bands, and solo and chamber concerts. His work as an educator has led him to teach with the Michigan Marching Band, the students of the Civic Youth Ensembles in Detroit, and with public schools in southeast Michigan and central Wisconsin in addition to maintaining a private percussion studio. The culmination of his performing and teaching experiences gives him an eclectic musical personality, utilizing elements of each style in his playing and pulling from a wide array of genres in his teaching. Anthony holds his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan, and he is currently pursuing a DMA in percussion performance from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.
