2024-2025 WYSO Orchestras Audition Application

WYSO AUDITIONS!

WYSO Late Audition Applications for the 2024-2025 season are now open. These auditions will take place through a recording. Please fill out the recruitment form by August 12. Instructions on how and when to submit your video audition will be sent once the recruitment form is submitted.

Timeline:

July 15 – Application opens
July 10 – Excerpts will be available
August 12 – Application deadline
August 24 – Audition date (Video audition submission deadline)
September 2 – Audition results will be sent
September 7 – First rehearsal

What to prepare for the audition:

Scales according to the orchestra you are auditioning for
A 2-minute solo of your choosing
Excerpts (password shared after registering)
Sight-reading (strings only)

The cost for auditioning into an orchestra is $50.00.

WYSO is currently accepting recruitment forms for the following instruments only: viola, string bass, bassoon, french horn, trumpet, trombone, and harp. A $50 application fee is due after submitting this form.
