A Fall Season to Celebrate

68 members, 10 conductor/coaches
The Fall 2020 season has been an intricate puzzle with multiple moving parts. The season began first with the Woodwind and Brass members meeting in small cohorts under the tents at McFarland HS.  Over the 7 weeks of rehearsals, weather was definitely the challenge as these dedicated musicians played through winds, rain, and cold before being forced to cancel the last rehearsals and concert video-recording sessions due to snow flurries and unseasonable cold.

With quick pivots from McFarland to Edgewood College, Monona Terrace, and Ms. DeRoche’s Harp Studio, 258 string, percussion and harp students had just made it through their third in-person class before needing to pivot once more to virtual classes. With a one week break for Thanksgiving, the students will be meeting virtually in small instrument – based groups beginning December 6 and 7.
