Event Description
WYSO’s flagship ensembles close the 2025–26 season with a bold and exhilarating evening of symphonic masterworks, cinematic favorites, and concerto virtuosity.
The Brass Choir opens the program, followed by a thrilling performance from WYSO Youth Orchestra featuring selections from John Williams’ Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The concert also spotlights two exceptional student soloists: 2026 Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition winners Indre Raghavan and Lorenz Fradkin-Annen, performing works by Sibelius and Shostakovich.
The evening culminates in Dmitri Shostakovich’s electrifying Symphony No. 9—a work of wit, power, and technical brilliance that offers a fitting finale to WYSO’s season.
