Maggie Schenk, Membership Coordinator, is a musician, theater artist, and community health advocate.

Maggie grew up in Madison, played flute in WYSO for 8 years, and graduated from St Olaf College with a BA in Music. At St Olaf, Maggie founded and led a music education program called Musical Connections that created opportunities for college music students to hone their teaching skills, while providing affordable private music lessons for elementary school children in the community. Since college, Maggie has worked with Urban Arts Academy in Minneapolis, MN; the Madison Metropolitan School District; and Access Community Health Centers. Maggie speaks Spanish and is currently working to become a certified medical interpreter.

Maggie currently performs with the East Side Acoustic Ensemble and with Fermat’s Last Theater.

Maggie is passionate about working at the intersection of the arts, education, and community building, and is honored to become part of the WYSO Music Makers community through the role of Membership Coordinator.
