Orchestra Open House

Curious about WYSO’s audition-based orchestra program? Join us for an Orchestra Open House at the WYSO Center for Music. Meet WYSO’s conductors and staff, tour our purpose-built rehearsal spaces, and learn what it takes to join one of WYSO’s five orchestras — from Opus One, our entry-level ensemble, all the way up to Youth Orchestra, WYSO’s most advanced group. We’ll walk you through the audition process, answer questions about instrumentation and placement, and give you a real sense of what a season with WYSO looks like. Whether your musician is just starting out or ready for their first orchestral audition, this is a low-pressure way to see if WYSO is the right fit.
