From Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Simrin Sandhu is a graduate of the University of
Wisconsin-Madison Mead Witter School of Music. She graduated in May 2022
with a Bachelor of Arts in Oboe Performance and Certificates in Physics and East
Central European Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.
Simrin had been involved in the musical community for most of her life, beginning
violin lessons at the age of four with Ms. Bonnie Greene. As a teen, Simrin
participated in Music Makers as a mentor and performer. She gave private music
lessons in high school and during her undergraduate career. She also plays piano
for churches and enjoys arranging music for her fellow musicians.
As somebody who has grown as an artist through the Music Makers program,
Simrin is very excited to help facilitate the same opportunities for budding
musicians.
