Valree Casey, a freelance Oboist and English Hornist, resides in Madison, WI, where she frequently performs. She holds the position of Artistic Director and oboist with the Oakwood Chamber Players. Valree also serves as the oboe instructor for the Junior season at the UW Summer Music Clinic.
Originally hailing from San Diego, CA, Valree pursued her musical studies at the Vienna Konservatorium in Vienna, Austria. She possesses a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of the Pacific. Valree has been fortunate to learn from distinguished mentors including Nancy Ambrose King, Harry Sargous, Tom Nugent, Michael Turnovsky, and Peggy Michael. In addition to her musical pursuits, Valree shares her expertise through private music lessons in oboe and piano and is dedicated to raising her three teenage boys.
