FAQ:
What is a matching gift?
A matching gift is when a person donates to a nonprofit organization and their employer donates an equal or greater amount to the same nonprofit. A matching gift can be a great way for you to double or triple your level of support. You and your employer’s generosity help WYSO to provide transformational musical
Your personal contribution is tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law. Your employer may also be able to deduct their portion of the matched gift.
Why are matching gifts so important?
Matching gift programs are one of the most common types of corporate giving. These programs allow a partnership between employers and employees to make more impactful charitable contributions. Matching funds can also be offered as part of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Donations from matching gift programs help WYSO keep tuition costs low for our student members. No WYSO student pays more than 30% of the actual cost of their enrollment, and that’s because of the generosity of donors like you.
