Originally from Clermont, Florida, Zach has made Madison his home since moving in 2020. He holds a Masters in Trombone Performance degree from UW-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida State University. Since graduating from UW-Madison, Zach has been an active freelance musician in the area and teaches applied low brass lessons at Concordia University Wisconsin where he also plays with the CUW faculty quintet. Prior to becoming the Admin and Membership Coordinator, Zach spent a year with WYSO on staff as an operations assistant. He also maintains a private lessons studio and routinely performs alongside his contemporary trombone quartet, the Beltline Bones. Passionate about the marching arts, Zach is also on staff with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. Outside of the music profession, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren and his dog Cleo.
