Concerto Competition Honors Recital, Saturday, February 8 at 7:00pm at the WYSO Center for Music, featuring honorable mentions from the Youth & Philharmonia Concerto Competitions.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 1st, and join us for a delicious celebration of WYSO’s diverse community at the annual Taste of WYSO Potluck! We invite all members and families to bring a dish that represents their background as we celebrate the diversity of our membership through food. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and throughout the morning, each orchestra will have time to step out of rehearsal to enjoy a variety of dishes and connect with their fellow WYSO members. Let’s make this event a flavorful success!

You’re invited to the WYSO Ensembles Recital! Join our WYSO Harp, Brass Choir & Flute Choir for an evening of music at the WYSO Center for Music at 5:30pm on Saturday, December 14. Check back soon for more details including recital repertoire.

Join us for a masterclass with renowned violinist Dawn Dongeun Wohn! This event will take place at Madison Country Day School on December 17th from 1:15pm to 3:15pm.

You are invited to attend the 2023 Evelyn Steenbock Fall Concert Series at the McFarland Performing Arts Center! This event takes place on November 18th from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Join us for a night of chamber music! This event will take place at Capitol Lakes on December 9th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

You’re invited to WYSO’s Evelyn Steenbock Fall Concert Series: Percussion Ensemble and Concert Orchestra! WYSO’s Percussion Ensemble and Concert Orchestra will perform at the Verona Area High School Performing Arts Center on Sunday, November 17th from 3:00 pm to 4:15 pm.

You’re invited to the Youth and Philharmonia Orchestras Concerto Competition Honors Recital! Our talented students will showcase their tremendous work on solo pieces. This event takes place on February 10th at 7:00 pm.

The WYSO Ensembles Recital will feature the WYSO Flute Choir (under the direction of Danielle Breisbach), both WYSO Brass Choirs (under the direction of Josh Biere), and the Horn Quartet (coached by Chamber Music Coach Sarah Gillespie). The recital  will be free and open to the public.This event will take place at the WYSO Center for Music on May 11th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

Witness the wonders of our Percussion Ensemble! They will perform at the Middleton Performing Arts Center on April 20th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

You’re invited to the Diane Ballweg Winterfest Concert Series! The Youth Brass Choir and Youth Orchestra will perform at the Sun Prairie West Performing Arts Center on March 2nd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
